Baku City Circuit
About the track
Baku City Circuit is a street circuit in the capital of Azerbaijan, combining narrow streets of the Old City surrounded by fortress walls with an ultra-fast straight along the Caspian Sea coast. The 2.2 km straight allows speeds exceeding 350 km/h, making it one of the longest on the F1 calendar. The contrast between slow, technical corners in the tight streets and blasting down the straight at full throttle is enormous and demands a versatile car setup. Baku is famous for dramatic and unpredictable races - safety cars, collisions, and surprise results are the norm at this track. Since its debut in 2016, almost every race has delivered spectacular moments, making the Azerbaijan Grand Prix a fan favourite.
