2. Cookies

This site uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential - storing theme preference (light/dark) and cookie consent in browser localStorage. No consent required.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics) - collecting anonymous visitor statistics via Google Analytics (ID: G-9BH1W2BPCR). Only activated after consent. Data is anonymized (anonymize_ip).

3. Google Analytics

After accepting cookies, the site loads Google Analytics provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze how the site is used. Collected data includes: pages visited, time spent on site, traffic source, and device type. IP addresses are anonymized. More information: Google Privacy Policy.

4. Managing Consent

On your first visit, a banner will ask for consent to analytics cookies. You can decline - the site will work normally without loading Google Analytics. To change your decision, clear site data in your browser settings - the banner will appear again.

5. External Services

This site uses the following external services:

  • Google Fonts - Chakra Petch and Rajdhani fonts loaded from Google servers.
  • Google Analytics - analytics (only after consent).

6. Mobile App

The CalendarF1 mobile app requires no account and no sign-in. It collects no name, e-mail address, contact details or location. On iPhone the app is published in the App Store as “Race Calendar & Live Timing” - one app shared with KiedyF1, our Polish site, which runs as CalendarF1 on any phone not set to Polish; this policy covers it in that mode. On Android it is the separate CalendarF1 app.

If you turn on notifications, the app registers your device with our notification server and stores only:

  • a push token issued by Apple or Google (through the Expo push service), which identifies the device, not you;
  • a randomly generated device identifier and secret, created by us so the device can change its own settings;
  • your notification settings: which sessions to be reminded about and how long before, whether to get an evening list of tomorrow's sessions, whether to hide results, whether to be told about schedule changes, whether to be notified when a running session is delayed or stopped (from app version 1.3.2, off by default - only if you switch it on; in older app versions: whether to receive live alerts), and any drivers or teams you marked as favourites;
  • the device's time zone (for example Europe/London; from app version 1.4), so the evening notification arrives at 20:00 your time and gives the session times in that zone;
  • the platform (iOS or Android) and the app version, so notifications can be formatted correctly.

This data is used for one purpose: sending the session reminders and result notifications you asked for - and, if you switch them on, session delay notifications. It is never sold, shared for advertising, or used to track you across apps or websites. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDK; usage counters stay on your device and are never transmitted.

Deleting it: when you delete the app, Apple or Google stop accepting its push token. The next time we try to send a notification, our server clears that token, and a device record without a token is deleted automatically once the app has not been seen for 30 days. Turning notifications off inside the app does not delete the record: it keeps your settings, with notifications disabled, so they are still there if you turn them back on. You can write to us at any time and we will delete it on request.

Third parties: push notifications are delivered through the Expo push service and Apple's or Google's notification networks, which necessarily receive the push token and the message. Live timing data comes from the public OpenF1 API; no information about you is sent to it. Calendar export writes to your device's own calendar and sends nothing to us. From app version 1.3.2 the app checks the Expo update service (EAS Update) at launch for a fix to download; Expo receives your IP address, platform and app version for this, but nothing from the notification record.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data. Neither the site nor the app requires registration, and the only data we hold is the device record described above, plus anonymous Google Analytics statistics for the website.
