Autodromo Nazionale Monza
About the track
Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, known as the Temple of Speed, is the fastest track on the F1 calendar and the spiritual home of motor racing in Italy since 1950. Long straights connected by chicanes require the lowest aerodynamic downforce of the season, leading to exciting races with slipstreaming and surprising results. The track, set in a royal park on the outskirts of Milan, has preserved its historic character, and the iconic Parabolica (now Curva Alboreto) is one of the most recognisable corners in F1. The Tifosi - fanatical Italian Ferrari fans - create an unmatched atmosphere, and a Ferrari victory on their home track triggers euphoria comparable to winning a championship. Monza is the place where the average lap speed is the highest of the season, exceeding 260 km/h.
