Biography
Lance Stroll made his Formula 1 debut in 2017 with Williams and stood on the podium in Baku in his first season, becoming at the time the youngest driver to start from the front row. Son of Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll - owner of the Aston Martin team - Lance has secured 3 podiums and 1 pole position on a wet Istanbul Park (Turkish GP 2020) across a career spanning Williams, Racing Point and Aston Martin. Known for excellent wet-weather speed and superb race starts, though his form can be inconsistent. For the 2026 season Aston Martin switches to Honda engines, giving the team and Lance new hopes of fighting for higher positions. Despite frequent criticism from fans, Stroll has remained a fixture on the F1 grid for nearly a decade.
