Biography
Nico Hulkenberg is one of the most experienced drivers in Formula 1 history, making his debut in 2010 and immediately claiming pole position on a wet Interlagos - his only pole in his career. For many years he held the infamous record for the most F1 starts without a podium finish, which he finally broke in 2025 at Silverstone by finishing third. After a multi-year hiatus he returned to F1 with Haas in 2023, proving he was still competitive. For the 2026 season, at 38 years old, he serves as the leader of the Audi factory team in its debut season - an enormous responsibility and simultaneously a chance to cap his career with a major German manufacturer project. Hulkenberg is valued in the paddock for his professionalism, technical understanding of the car and ability to develop the machinery.
