History and Information

Cadillac F1 Team marks a historic moment for Formula 1 - the first new team to join the grid since Haas debuted in 2016, expanding to eleven teams and twenty-two drivers. The project is backed by General Motors, one of the world's largest car manufacturers, and the Cadillac brand represents the luxury and sporting tradition of American automotive engineering. Leading the team is Graeme Lowdon - an experienced manager known for running the Manor/Marussia team through the most challenging circumstances. The team temporarily uses Ferrari power units, but from the 2029 season onwards Cadillac is planned to be powered by its own GM engine, making it another factory team on the grid. Behind the wheel are two F1 veterans - Valtteri Bottas, former Mercedes and Alfa Romeo driver, and Sergio Perez, Verstappen's long-time partner at Red Bull, whose experience is crucial in the process of building a new team from scratch. The Silverstone base, in the heart of Britain's motorsport valley, provides access to the best specialists in the industry, and GM's ambitions extend far beyond mere participation - the goal is to be competitive.
